Saints Row Outdoes Itself With Pre-Orders

Saints Row Outdoes Itself With Pre-Orders

None

Saints Row: The Third, the major open world crime game competitor to GTA, is doing outstandingly well in pre-orders. As of now, the game has nearly double the pre-orders that Saints Row II had, which is pretty impressive. To date, Saints Row II has sold over 4.5 million copies, and it is looking as if Saints Row: The Third will do better than that on hype alone. Adding to that, THQ has said that they will include a “robust” suite of downloadable content in its post-release support for the game. So Saints Row: The Third is bound to end up making money for quite a while.

So what will THQ do with all this money they have glommed together from Saints Row pre-orders? Well, the big plan is to launch new IPs. No concrete plans have been announced yet, but THQ has signed on Valhalla Games and Guillermo del Toro to help them out. That’s enough to pique my interest.
