SFxTK Syncs Up Its Sound

None

One of the release-day foibles of crossover fighter Street Fighter X Tekken had nothing to do with the content locked away on its disc and waiting behind a delayed pay-wall. It was, instead, buried in the netcode, causing an odd audio lag to make multiplayer matches a de-synced mess, visually and aurally disparate.

According to Yoshinori Ono, who has continued Tweeting in the wake of his physical collapse and the abdication of his role as producer on the Street Fighter franchise , a soon-to-be-released patch will address this issue, as well as provide a “Tournament support” mode, which aims to make gem selection for tournament players a quicker process, reducing the intervals between matches by cutting down on prep time.

Just how soon is this “soon-to-be-released” patch headed out the door? Look for it on Tuesday, April 10. The announcement comes in the middle of Captivate 2012—Capcom’s annual press reveal event—which is under way in Rome as I write this.
