New Street Fighter X Tekken Patch Breaks The Game

New Street Fighter X Tekken Patch Breaks The Game

None

Recently, Street Fighter X Tekken was updated to version 1.04 in a recent patch. The patch was supposed to address gameplay issues, bugs, and balance, and for the most part it did. Most of the infinite combos we knew about have been taken out of the game, and moves with strange properties, like Jin’s chop kick, now act as they normally should. The patch also removed problems with the quick combo system that allowed players to stall the game infinitely with certain characters.

However, with all these fixes introduced in the new patch, a new bug has also been introduced, and it’s arguably worse than any of the other bugs that have cropped up so far. It occurs when Rolento’s knife projectile makes contact with any other projectile, and it causes the whole game to freeze, forcing players to reset the game.

This is especially disappointing as Rolento is a very popular character and negating projectiles with his knife is a fairly common strategy.

Capcom has said that they are working hard on a fix for the bug and that it should come sometime in June, luckily before the EVO fighting game championships. Tournament organizers have not yet decided how they will deal with instances of this bug cropping up in official tournament matches.
