No More Patches For UMvC3

None

Recently, a number of gamers have figured out a peculiar glitch in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 that allows much of the cast to perform infinite combos off of Team Aerial Exchanged.

EVO, the world championships of fighting games went down last weekend in Vegas, where it was decided that these new infinites would be allowed in their tournament. Ryota Niitsuma of Capcom then commented that he was looking into possible fixes for the glitch. The final verdict? The glitch won’t be fixed at all.

Capcom has decided that it will no longer be patching UMVC3. That means no new characters, no new stages, and, most importantly, no new balance patches. Yes, the infinite glitch will not be taken out, nor will the recently found “escape” glitch that lets you escape certain hyper combos by tagging to a dead character.

Instead, Capcom is going to let the game stew for a while. They are going to let the community do with it what they will. They have no further DLC planned either, and do not plan to add any more characters to the mix. They also assured us that the rumors of an Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Uncanny Edition were entirely false.
