Sixth (and Probably Not Final) DLC Character Confirmed for Injustice

The DLC character campaign for Injustice: Gods Among Us is now on its sixth iteration, as developer NetherRealm Studios today confirmed that Zatanna, DC’s seductive magician, will hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 August 13 th for the standard rate of $4.99 (or 400 MSP). No comment has been made on the Wii U version of the game.

Zatanna’s arrival was teased by a line of hints from NetherRealm boss Ed Boon, which, funnily enough, led players to believe that Black Canary, a comparable DC character, would fill the sixth spot.

After staying true to their community election system for the five preceding DLC fighters (Lobo, Batgirl, Scorpion, General Zod, and most recently, Martian Manhunter ), it seems that NetherRealm will continue to update the game’s roster according to player demand. Previous comments from Boon also imply that character additions are drawn up in fours, so we can expect a minimum of two additional DLC expansions.

You can catch Zatanna’s formal debut below, but there’s still a week to go before we can use Zatana’s spells to rain catastrophe down on the Injustice roster.
