According to IGN, the retail copies they’ve received for Mirror’s Edge included an advertisement for Skate 2. The marketing piece states that the game will be in stores sometime in January 2009. That’s a couple months ahead of projected release dates!
If you’re a Wii or DS owner, you’ll be happy to know that Skate It will be releasing on November 19 th in North America and November 20 th in Europe. The Wii makes use of the motion controls and even optionally supports the Wii Balance Board, and the DS version takes advantage of the touch screen controls. Presser to follow.

In Skate It, gamers will be able to make skate spots their own by moving objects like ramps, rails, and benches to fit their individual skating styles. The game also boasts a variety of multiplayer challenges, including Best Trick and Best Line, which will have players ripping it up with their friends as they prove their skateboarding prowess. Skate It recently received the “Best Wii Game” award at the Games Convention tradeshow in Leipzig, Germany. Skate It was also nominated for Best Sports game for the “Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2008”.
