Video game consoles are about a lot more than just video games these days. Now, they are more about delivering all sorts of content to your living room TV. Sony has already allowed you to download movies, music, and TV via the PlayStation Network, and now it appears they will be producing their own original content as well.
It was recently revealed that a new drama is being developed for publishing exclusively on PlayStation console platforms. The show, called Powers , will broadcast in hour long episodes which will be available on the PlayStation Network.
Powers is sort of a superhero, crime noir, CSI style police comic thingy. It exists in a world where people are developing supernatural powers, a lot like Heroes … or X-men . It surrounds detective Christian Walker who is charged with investigating criminal cases involving superhumans. The show is based on the graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming.
