Sony Details “Welcome Back” Program

Sony Details “Welcome Back” Program

None

Now that the PSN is back online in the United States and Europe, let’s talk about free stuff!

To make up for the nearly month-long service outage and privacy breach, Sony has created two lists of full-length games, one for the PS3 and one for the PS3. From these lists, players can pick two games to download for free. If you are a PlayStation 3 user, you can choose from Dead Nation, infamous, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, and Wipeout HD (which includes the Fury expansion). If you are a PSP user, you can choose from LittleBigPlanet, ModNation Racers, Pursuit Force, and Killzone Liberation.

The free games will be distributed via the PSN, and users can download them when the Welcome Back service goes live in the next few days. Sony has also said that users will be able to download video content during an “on us” weekend to be held on an unspecified date. This is in addition to the free month of PlayStation Plus and free Home content mentioned before as part of the Welcome Back program.
