Sony Talks “Welcome Back” Program

Sony Talks “Welcome Back” Program

None

Just a few days after talking about the possibility of a compensation program for disillusioned PSN users, Sony has unveiled plans for what it is calling a “Welcome Back” program. Unveiled early this morning, this program would entitle users to a free month of the PlayStation Plus service as well as a free “content” download.

Sony has not yet unveiled what this free content will be, but we should know more in the coming days. Though it would be nice to hope that users could pick what they wanted for free, the fact that developers are claiming substantial losses already from the outage means that they will probably be unwilling to lose any more cash to the outage unless they could be substantially compensated as well.
