PSN Extends Free ID Protection Registration Deadline

PSN Extends Free ID Protection Registration Deadline

None

For all you PSN users who didn’t take advantage of your post-outage free games, all I have to say is: “You snooze you lose.” However, Sony is still making one aspect of its welcome back program available to the chronic procrastinators out there. For anyone still worried about the safety of their personal information yet were too lazy to download their free copy of infamous or LittleBigPlanet, Sony has extended the deadline to register for a free year of AllClear ID Plus.

Sony offered a free year of AllClear ID Plus to every PSN user, with a registration deadline of June 28th. However, recently they have extended the registration deadline to July 31st. No details have been released as to why Sony would extend the deadline, but my guess is that nowhere near as many PSN users registered as they thought would.

Don’t let this slip you by. Get protected today, or else no one will particularly care when you try and fail to get your free year of protection in December.
