Sony Mulls Over Compensation For Hacked Users

None

Since all PSN users are pretty upset with Sony at the moment, the ball is in Sony’s court when it comes to compensation. Sure, the PSN is free to use, so it’s not like anyone is losing any money, but the fact is that plenty of users are pretty irate about the whole situation. So what would make people feel better and give them pause before chucking their PS3s out the window (or to GameStop)? Free stuff!

Plenty of people are clamoring for Sony to give their users some kind of gesture of goodwill through the PlayStation Network, and no, we’re not talking about free trials of PlayStation Plus. Something tangible, that will both help users feel a little better and serve as a small Mea Culpa for Sony. Is something like this even possible? Well, according to the PlayStation Blog, “We are currently evaluating ways to show appreciation for your extraordinary patience as we work to get these services back online.” We’ll keep you updated if Sony makes up their mind and decides to give something back to the 70 million users that have suffered not only with the PSN outage, but with the fact that all their personal information could be out in the wind at this very moment. Come on Sony, that’s at least worth a theme…right?
