The PS4 has only been out a few days, and we are already seeing firmware updates. Update 1.51 has just rolled out, and if you own a PS4, your console should be automatically updating itself right now. The update is minor, specifically made to improve console stability , which is something that people have been complaining about quite a bit in the past few days. There are also a few tweaks to the firmware UI, though nothing groundbreaking. Specifically, the update will indicate when a user downloads a game and a game patch at the same time.
If you live in North America, then your PS4 will have auto-updating enabled by default and should apply the patch even if your console isn’t on. If you live in Europe, well then then PS4 isn’t out yet, so what the heck are you worried about?
