Space Channel 5 CPU control
While playing the game, hold L1 + R1 and press Up, Left, X, Left, X, Down, Right, Circle, Right, Circle. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. The game will continue by itself under CPU control.
Alternate game
Successfully complete the game, then load the saved game file and select any level. Game play will begin with new routes at a harder difficulty setting.
Fiery Ulala
Achieve a rank of 95% or higher to play as Ulala surrounded by purple fire.
Michael Jackson cameo
Michael Jackson can be found in the last level of the game.
Defeating the second-to-last Boss
When facing the Boss that makes you copy its moves in reverse, simply turn your controller upside-down — you will not have to think the reversed commands.
Alternate costumes
Successfully complete the following tasks to unlock the corresponding alternate costume:
- Blank Suit: Accumulate over ten hours of game time.
- Camouflage Suit: Successfully complete Report 2 in two player mode.
- Chef Suit: Save the Chef (green) during the game.
- Eighty-Eight Man Suit: Successfully complete Report 3 in World 2.
- Evila (upgraded) suit: Successfully complete Report 4 in World 2.
- Flower Costume: Successfully complete Report 2.
- Gogo Gear with helmet: Successfully complete Report 4.
- Gogo Gear without helmet: Successfully complete Report 3.
- Granny Suit: Save Space Granny.
- Mr. Nervous Suit: Save Mr. Nervous.
- Neo-Japanese Astronaut: Save the Neo-Japanese Astronauts.
- Noize Costume: Successfully complete Report 3.
- Old Retro Gear: Successfully complete Report 6.
- Peace Costume: Successfully complete Report 2 in World 2.
- Rescue Squad Suit: Save the Rescue Squad.
- School Uniform: Successfully complete 24 consecutive trials in Ulala’s dance mode.
- Space Primary School Suit: Save the Space Primary School.
- Spy Suit: Successfully complete Report 5.
- Stealth Suit: Accumulate over ten hours of game time.
- Striped Suit: Successfully complete Report 1 in two player mode.
- Super Ulala Costume: Successfully complete Report 6.
