Splatoon Still Receiving Updates

Splatoon Still Receiving Updates

Nintendo may have halted Splatoon’ s free DLC updates, but that doesn’t mean the support has been ended. During the latest Nintendo Direct, March and April updates were announced for the game. While the first update will mainly offer tweaks, balancing, and gameplay adjustment, the following ones will add more content.

The next Splatoon update will arrive next week on March 8. The most important fix is Ranked Battle team assignments that won’t be so random. Equipped weapons and players’ ranks will be taken into account. S+ and S, S and A+, A- and B+, B- and C+ players also won’t be ranked together. Ranked points will also be adjusted if one team is at a disadvantage. Splatfests will also have improved matchmaking, where you’ll be with people who have a similar Splatfest Power Level. You’ll also get more Splatfest points if your team’s average Splatfest Power Level is higher. Also, the Arowana Mall and Moray Towers maps and some gear abilities will be adjusted.

The following updates will arrive in April and be split into two parts. Exact details about what it will contain are uncertain, but there will be weapon adjustments. Also, this is the update that will include new equipment, as it will offer Sheldon’s Picks weapons that offer new weapon combos like the Wasabi Splattershot and Fresh Squiffer.

Splatoon is immediately available for the Nintendo Wii U and will soon be better than ever.
