One of the most demanded Super Mario Maker 2 features is now a part of the game. Are you someone who happens to have friends? Do you enjoy playing video games with them? Well, now Super Mario Maker 2 multiplayer lets people actually play games online with friends.
After downloading the Version 1.1.0 update, Super Mario Maker 2 owners can head over to Course World to test the new feature. When you go into the Network Play menu, you’ll now see new opportunities under Play with Friends. Once there, you’ll have two ways to play it online with people you know. You can choose Multiplayer Co-op or Versus. After you enter, you will be able to Make a Room, either with or without a password, or join a friend’s room. You can choose to go through Course World levels, with four difficulty options, or have the group play through your courses or downloaded ones.
The other Super Mario Maker 2 updates involve alterations to potential control schemes. If you are making a course in Handheld mode, you can use both standard button controls and the touchscreen to create things. Before, it was more of an either/or situation. Though, you can still restrict options in settings. Also, every mode now lets people use a Joy-Con horizontally.
So far, no Super Mario Maker 2 updates have been released that add new creation parts or themes to the game. However, this major update shows that Nintendo is still working to update and maintain the title.
