Super Meat Boy has been a critical success on the Xbox Live service, which has led other console users to wonder if there will be a port of the game on their console of choice. A PC version of the game has been confirmed to be coming soon to the Steam download service, but when asked about a WiiWare version, Team Meat said that there was no way to bring the game to the Wii in its current state, as it is still well above the 50MB download size limit (the Xbox 360 version weighs in at a hefty 750MB). Though a WiiWare port is still in the cards for Super Meat Boy, it looks like Wii owners will have to wait a bit longer for Team Meat to compress the game to an appropriate size. In regards to when we can expect a PlayStation 3 port of Super Meat Boy, Team Meat’s official response was “never.”  |
