Publisher Take-Two Interactive announced today that they’re preparing a “groundbreaking new intellectual property” for next-generation consoles.
CEO Strauss Zelnick made the announcement during an earnings call today.
“Fiscal 2014 promises to be one od our best years ever, highlighted by the upcoming launch of Grand Theft Auto V in September. We also have an extraordinary pipeline of titles in development for next-generation platforms, including [a] groundbreaking new intellectual property and releases from our proven franchises.”
New console generations usually bring out new IPs, so it’s not entirely surprising to see Take Two commit to a new franchise. As for their “proven franchises,” that could be anyone’s guess outside of the NBA 2K franchise.
