Tekken 3D Prime Hits The 3DS On Valentine’s Day

None

NAMCO Bandai has finally attached a release date to their upcoming 3DS installment of the Tekken franchise. Tekken 3D Prime Edition will hit shelves on Valentines Day along with Twisted Metal, Grand Slam Tennis 2, and Binary Domain. SSX was also scheduled to be released that day, but EA recently pushed it back to the end of February .

Does anyone find it odd that so many video games are being released on Valentine’s Day? Why do video game publishers hate romance?

Anyway, Tekken 3D Prime is the first Tekken release for one of Nintendo’s portable devices since Tekken Advance was released in 2002. According to the developer, the game will include over 40 fighters, wireless multiplayer support (at 60 frames per second), and 3DS Street Pass support, which allows players to trade Tekken cards while their system is asleep.

Tekken 3D Prime Edition will also come with one slightly odd perk: Tekken: Blood Vengeance, the full length feature film that was released earlier this year. The film takes place between the events of Tekken 5 and Tekken 6, and follows Alisa (a lovable android) and Ling Xiaoyu as they inadvertently become involved in a family feud.

If family feuds don’t make you want to buy Tekken 3D Prime, you’ve obviously never watched that game show, Family Feud .
