Today, four new DLC packs for The Amazing Spider-Man are available on PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE, and Steam. They are titled The Stan Lee Adventure Pack, the Rhino Challenge Pack, The Lizard Rampage Pack, and The Oscorp Search & Destroy Pack.
In the Lizard Rampage pack you will be put in the shoes—or should I say Talons—of The Lizard. Your task is to stop Oscorp from releasing a cross-species virus into the city. The pack will have an honest “rampage” feel to it, as The Lizard will be able to tear through guards and destroy buildings easily. Downloading this pack will also get you the vigilante Spider-Man costume.
The Oscorp Search & Destroy pack is actually a short little minigame collection that sees you either controlling a giant mechanical snake through the streets of Manhattan or controlling Gwen Stacy’s hunter robot to defend the citizens of NY against mutants. It’s essentially Spider-Man themed Snake and Space Invaders.
The Rhino Challenge pack is basically a gigantic destructive time trial. You will take control of the Rhino and be tasked with plowing through cars and buildings in order to complete your goals in time. You can then compare your scores with your friends on the game’s online leaderboards.
Finally, the Stan Lee Adventure pack actually does put you in control of Stan Lee, though he has all the powers of Spider-Man. It’s up to him to recover pages of a script that he was working, which have unfortunately gotten loose across the city.
