The Gamestick Has Been Delayed To August

The Gamestick, a tiny console no bigger than a USB drive that fits inside its own controller, has unfortunately been delayed. Supposedly, the user interface of the console has proved to be trickier to develop than once thought. “This is in part because the DEV version of the hardware this will be delivered on is slightly different from the production hardware,” read a statement on the Gamestick’s Kickstarter page. “This has required a duplication of effort that we have had to balance with ensuring that work on the final units maintained momentum.”

This is not the first time that the Gamestick has been delayed. The first delay was due to a “higher than expected” user demand. At this point, backers of the Kickstarter project are starting to get antsy, wondering when they will finally get the finished project.

“We have therefore taken the decision to push back the whole project by one month to ensure we can fit this process in,” continued the statement. “We appreciate that this will frustrate backers keen to get their hands on their device but we did not feel it was fair to bypass this step as it was a key pledge and the feedback will be really welcome.”
