It looks like the Penguin is suiting up for the second installment in Rocksteady’s Batman beat em’ up series. This was almost confirmed with the glimpse of his signature night club, The Iceberg Lounge, that popped up in the original teaser trailer. But now Rocksteady is finally ready to start talking about old Oswald Cobblepot.  They’ve made some adjustments to his character. Dax Ginn from Rocksteady claims: “The way that Penguin has always been portrayed is as quite an aristocratic, well-spoken gentleman who’s got these twisted delusions of grandeur, so we’ve made him a really horrible, nasty piece of work .” This sounds like a proper change in character, if you ask me. It goes well with the chaotic state Arkham City will portray. Other confirmed villains include Two-Face and Dr. Hugo Strange. Catwoman will be in the mix as well, playing the always elusive seductress that walks the line between hero and villain. We can look forward to Mr. Cobblepot waddling his way into our homes on October 18, when Arkham City launches in North America. |
