The Vita Gets Its Own Puppies Game

The Vita Gets Its Own Puppies Game

No, this isn’t another April Fool’s joke. A brand new “pet” game is coming to the Vita. Much like Nintendogs , PlayStation Vita Pets will allow you to take home and train your own virtual puppy… instead of, you know, actually playing with a real one. Developed by Spiral House, the same guys behind the EyePet series of games, Vita Pets will allow you to choose from four different puppies, each with their own different personality and temperament, and train him as your own.

However, there is more than just a pet raising simulation here. Apparently, there is an adventure game layered on top of it. You’ll be asked to trek across Castlewood Island to uncover a “long lost legend of a King and his dog.” There will be numerous puzzles to solve and places to explore, all while cleaning, feeding, bathing and training your canine companion. The adventure is incapable of being completed without a well groomed and nurtured pup. So don’t get distracted with all these ancient ruins and adventure and stuff, cause you have a puppy to take care of. Just don’t be one of those guys that dresses their puppy up in a tutu.

An official price and release date for PlayStation Vita Pets has not yet been revealed.
