Square Enix has released the official E3 trailer for their Tomb Raider reboot, revealing that the hotly anticipated origin story of Lara Croft will be released on March 5th, 2013. Earlier this month, developer Crystal Dynamics announced that the action-adventure title would be pushed back from this fall into the first quarter of next year. “We’re doing things that are completely new to Tomb Raider in this game, and the additional development time will allow us to put the finishing touches into the game and polish it to a level that you deserve,” studio head Darrell Gallagher said at the time. “Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game.” 
Whether Tomb Raider lives up to its already high expectations or not will just have to wait until next March, though, when it is released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Mac. By Jeff Dunn |
