Twitch Streaming Coming To The Xbox One On March 11th

Earlier today, the Associated Press confirmed via ABC news that Twitch game streaming will finally be coming to the Xbox One on March 11th. This highly anticipated feature will launch as a patch update set to arrive just in time for the North American release of Titanfall .

Twitch CEO Emmett Shear added that this update will allow people to live stream gameplay sessions, join games with broadcasters, use voice commands to create their own game broadcasts, archive game clips and eventually watch those clips on other compatible devices. Twitch streaming functionality was originally supposed to launch with the Xbox One, but was delayed until this year. This same feature was available on the PlayStation 4 on launch day.

Hearing today’s news regarding this update only further reinforces just how important Titanfall is to the Xbox One. Another patch update is also scheduled to launch right around the same time to fix both multiplayer party chat features and the Xbox One controller. Hopefully all of these patches are successful and can go a long way towards helping the next-gen console achieve more success in the future.
