Ubisoft Flooding 3DS Launch

Ubisoft Flooding 3DS Launch

None

It is always a good idea to have a healthy amount of software available when a new piece of hardware launches. Nintendo should know this better than anyone, only having two games available when the N64 was released. Besides helping to give early adopters more reasons to pick up the system, developers of launch software also frequently reap the rewards of high sales figures, since their game is one of the few options available.

This launch game benefit is apparently one that Ubisoft wants to take full advantage of with the upcoming 3DS. According to MCV, Ubisoft is trying to account for thirty percent of the launch software for the handheld. Speaking at a recent event held by Ubisoft, UK sales director Darren Bowen stated “We will have six to eight of the key launch titles on 3DS, so we are expecting anywhere between 25 and 30 percent share on that platform.” Sounds like good news for Ubisoft, Nintendo, and potential 3DS owners alike.
