Ubisoft Reveals Assassin’s Creed 3’s Co-op Mode

Ubisoft Reveals Assassin’s Creed 3’s Co-op Mode

None

Ubisoft has lifted the veil on Wolf Pack, the new cooperative multiplayer mode coming as a part of Assassin’s Creed 3 later this fall.

The mode will task up to four assassins to find and eliminate a series of A.I.-controlled marks as swiftly and as stealthily as possible. A target will be shown at the top of each player’s screen, and co-op partners will need to work together to coordinate their kills while still trying to disguise themselves amongst the general public.

Wolf Pack will be a “race against the clock” affair too, as the mode ends whenever time runs out. Naturally, taking out targets adds precious seconds to the timer, and bonus time is awarded for particularly skillful kills. Up to 25 “sequences,” or waves, are offered, with the assassinations getting more difficult as the waves rack up.

Besides that, the general look and feel of the mode is largely similar to past Assassin’s Creed multiplayer offerings, with the familiar HUD, controls, and the like all returning to form. The big difference here, of course, is that you’ll be hunting with your buddies, instead of hunting for them.

Assassin’s Creed 3 is set to release October 30 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
