We’ve been hearing a lot about video game movies lately, such as the World of Warcraft, Ratchet and Clank , and Minecraft projects, but news about Sony’s Uncharted adaptation have been sparse. Don’t fret. It’s still around, and even has a release date! We’ll hopefully see it on June 30, 2017.
That release date seems awfully soon, considering how little we know about the movie. Mark Boal has been onboard as the script writer since 2014, but there’s no director at the moment. Seth Gordon, David Russell, and Neil Burger were all at one point going to helm the movie, but none are still part of the project. It doesn’t even have a star yet.
Hopefully, details like that won’t add up to a delay.
