Voldo, one of the most stange but storied members of the Soulcalibur cast, is once again making his return for Bandai Namco’s Soulcalibur VI . This is of course part of the initiative for the series to be a return to the classics of course, but it’s also notable that Voldo has been in every entry of the series since Soul Edge , including the divisive Soulcalibur V .
Despite being unconventional to say the least, Voldo has long been a popular character, both due to his look and his unique playstyle. He’s certainly in his fully glory in a new trailer released by Bandai Namco. The trailer refers to him as “Hell Guardian,” and that certainly seems appropriate, given his near supernatural presence in the series’ lore.
Soulcalibur VI is set to release on October 19, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The previous game launched in 2012, so there’s been quite a hiatus since then.
