NAMCO Bandai Reveals Three New SoulCalibur Characters

NAMCO Bandai Reveals Three New SoulCalibur Characters

None

This weekend at San Diego Comic con, NAMCO Bandai released a new SoulCalibur V trailer showcasing the brand new characters they promised to reveal, as well as a couple old ones. We mentioned two of these characters last week, but here is a brief rundown, as well as info on the third character, for those thirsting for more SCV.

Ivy is coming back, and for a forty-nine-year-old woman she handles herself nicely for her age. Seriously, the Soul Edge better have made her immortal, or else I’m going to have to speak with the design team about her, uh, physics, if you know what I mean.

Joining her is Natsu, a plucky ninja with red hair who seems to have Taki’s moveset, if Taki played a little more like a Street Fighter character. At one point during the trailer, we see Natsu create a pink wave of energy that traveled across the screen, and at another we see her jump off the wall to attack Mitsurugi. These are two things that we certainly haven’t seen in SoulCalibur before.

Zwei, on the other hand, seems to be somewhere in between Cervantes and Talim. He uses two short swords which he sometimes wields like Tonfa, and he is shown in the trailer playing both a ranged poking game, and a close-up combo game.

The final moments of the trailer show something being summoned in the middle of a battle, but just what it is, no one knows. Stay tuned for more SCV info as it becomes available.
