Let’s face it, long-time SoulCalibur character and fan-favorite Taki is getting old. Even though Mitsurugi is okay with sporting his graying hair in lethal combat, some might say it’s time for the middle-aged Taki to take bow and let someone else do the demon hunting, two-tanto dance. Unveiled today on Daishi Odashima’s Twitter, SoulCalibur V will feature a new female ninja. Her outfit bears striking similarities to Taki’s, with a skin-tight red top and knives along her back and across her waist, along with shoulder and forearm guards. Unlike her progenitor, however, her hair is blond, her legs are bare from the knees to the hips, and her, um, endowments are somewhat less pronounced. 
“Is Taki returning?” asks Odashima, “Well you know, she’s getting a little old. But then again ninjas are like super humans…” |
