Warhammer Online Hands Out Presents as It Shuts Down

Warhammer Online Hands Out Presents as It Shuts Down

On Saturday the team behind Warhammer Online shared the sad news that the game would be coming to an end in the next few weeks. Posting on their blog , the developers explained that “we will be turning off the ability to apply one month subscriptions and game time codes to Warhammer Online accounts and removing the ability to open new Warhammer Online accounts” but that long-time players can continue to play the game free of charge.

They will also be adding in additional features to the game in the closing weeks “to give Warhammer Online a good send off.” These include adding unique experiences to enjoy and additional NPCs to aid in powering up players’ characters.

Back in September, on the 18 th , Mythic informed the community via the game’s blog that the licensing deal had come to an end and that Mythic and Games Workshop would soon be parting ways. This was followed by a very moving post from Carrie Gouskos (Producer of Warhammer Online ) on the game’s shutdown.
