Watch Dogs Getting A Movie Deal?

Is it shortsighted to plan a movie around an IP that the gaming populace still hasn’t seen much footage of? I mean, besides the one trailer, we have no information about the game. Not only that, but gaming movies are pretty notoriously horrible. Watch Dogs received incredible critical reception at E3 this year, and that’s probably reason enough to attempt to create a movie out of it. But at the same time, there is no quicker way to make that critical reception fade than to ruin the franchise with a crappy movie.

Then again, Ubisoft could just be registering these domains to make sure they have all their bases covered in case they ever do want to make a movie.
