We don’t yet know when the Wii U will hit store shelves, but Nintendo has recently confirmed that they will show the console’s final build at the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo. That means whatever we play at E3 will be exactly what we get to buy whenever Nintendo officially releases the Wii U. Nintendo said that it learned a “bitter lesson” from the launch of the 3DS, and that it is going to take “every possible measure” to make sure the Wii U has a successful launch. What are those measures? Honestly, we have no idea, and Nintendo is being tight-lipped about it as well. If I were to take a guess though, I would say it needs a strong launch line-up, an accessible price point, and a marketing strategy that makes the Wii U seem like more than just an upgraded Wii to the casual audience.
