There was an awesome Xbox One price drop not long ago, bringing the standard 500 GB console to $299 and 1TB version to $319. It’s a big deal, it’s in effect everywhere, and it’s a portent of things to come. Clearly, some major E3 2016 announcements are on the way.
The best way to get the Xbox One for $300 and $320 at the moment is actually through Microsoft itself. If you prefer other stores, they have it at this price now. But at Microsoft, you get the Xbox One at the lower price point, as well as an extra controller and a game like Forza 6 or Rise of the Tomb Raider with it.
Microsoft has yet to say when the Xbox One will go back to the $349 or $369 price. Depending on how things go, this sale could be permanent. Which would make sense, if a slim version of the console and 2017 incremental update are really around the bend!
