You Can Spend Money on the PC’s Free Forza 6

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is a pretty sweet deal on PCs. I mean, it’s hard to argue with a free entry in Microsoft’s most famous racing series. It also isn’t as robust as the paid version of Forza 6 , though, due to it beeing a free-to-play installment. Now, two months after its launch, it’s getting a little bigger. You can now spend money on the game.

The in-game Forza 6 shop now has three add-ons in it, with each one costing $7. The Nürburgring Track Pack gives you a Nürburgring track with its Nordschleife and GP Circuit, as well as a Full Circuit. You get to race on them on Free Play and Spotlight events during both the day and night. There are also Hyper Endurance and Power to Weight Car Packs. The former adds the 2012 Hennessey Venom GT, 2013 Lamborghini Veneno, 2013 #91 SRT Motorsport GTS-R Viper, 2014 Mazda #70 SpeedSource Lola B12/80, 2015 Koenigsegg One:1, 2016 #66 Ford Racing GT LeMans, and 2016 #91 SRT Motorsport GTS-R Viper. The latter adds a 2013 KTM X-Bow R, 2013 Caterham Superlight R500, 2013 SRT Viper GTS, 2014 BAC Mono, 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, and 2016 Ford Mustang GT350R. You can get all three add-ons for $17 in the premium edition bundle.

I have to admit, it really seems like the Forza 6 free-to-play edition is handling things right. $7 for an add-on that brings you seven new cars you can use in Free Play and Spotlight events is pretty good. I’m not as sure if that extra track is worth it, but getting the $17 bundle makes it like you’re only paying $4 for the track, which helps quite a bit.
