Studio of the Year 2015
CD Projekt RED

Gamers love to love CD Projekt, and why not? Its pro-gamer and anti-DRM stance is a breath of fresh air in a world where many companies seem to see their consumers as the enemy. When it comes to making games, CD Projekt employs sheer wizardry to create gorgeous worlds full of complex, mature stories. Yes, that's both "mature" as in sexy-times on a giant stuffed unicorn and mature as in dealing with heavy themes like war and betrayal. As gamers, we're down with both those things.

Kojima Productions

It can't have been easy to finish up Metal Gear Solid V while conflict raged between director Kojima and the corporate overlords at Konami. We may never know the whole story, but it's hard not to take sides and give props to Kojima and his crew for putting out a great game when all we've seen from Konami is immature antics. Here's hoping that Kojima Productions goes on to bigger and better things in the future.
