Christmas came late for a 17-year old gamer from Minnesota. Tuesday, Alexander Skudlarek got a letter from the Guinness Book of World Records confirming that he now holds the title for “longest video games marathon playing Dance Dance Revolution.” The record setting performance actually happened last October when Skudlarek played DDR for a grand total of 16 hours, 18 minutes, and nine seconds. His record is especially impressive to me because I can barely stand to play that game for an entire song.
Either way, 16 hours of DDR is a pretty impressive little feat, especially since he isn’t really a fan of the DDR series. He’s just a regular gamer that wanted his name etched into the history books. Bravo, Alexander. Though, something tells me that his legs regretted 16 hours worth of dancing the following morning. By Josh Engen |
