Minnesotan Sets Guinness World Record For DDR

None

Christmas came late for a 17-year old gamer from Minnesota. Tuesday, Alexander Skudlarek got a letter from the Guinness Book of World Records confirming that he now holds the title for “longest video games marathon playing Dance Dance Revolution.”

The record setting performance actually happened last October when Skudlarek played DDR for a grand total of 16 hours, 18 minutes, and nine seconds. His record is especially impressive to me because I can barely stand to play that game for an entire song.

Luckily, the record didn’t require that he dance continuously for 16 hours. He was allowed to take a 10-minute break every hour, which I assume was spent crying and eating ice cream.

Either way, 16 hours of DDR is a pretty impressive little feat, especially since he isn’t really a fan of the DDR series. He’s just a regular gamer that wanted his name etched into the history books. Bravo, Alexander.

Though, something tells me that his legs regretted 16 hours worth of dancing the following morning.
