Activision’s E3 Roster Announced

Activision’s E3 Roster Announced

OK, funny thing. Activision doesn’t have an E3 booth. It’s forgoing a big presence. Yet, it’s hyping up its E3 lineup. Maybe it’ll be at other company’s booths, I don’t know, but the publisher has a lot planned for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Destiny: Rise of Iron, and Skylanders Imagineers, given its situation.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is the big deal, Aside from being at Sony’s booth during the event, Activision will be using E3 to show off new game footage for both it and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered . Since one’s a classic look back at 10 maps from a classic game and the other’s a look forward at into the future in space, there should be a nice balance.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is going to be hyped up at E3 too. It’s the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One $30 expansion that sends you on a new raid with Lord Saladin and gives you tons of new weapons and adventures to enjoy. Naturally, there’s already a pre-order promotion for it, where anyone who opts in now gets a special Gjallarhorn and a free upgrade to the game’s limited edition.

A new Skylanders will also be on display. Skylanders Imaginators lets you make your own Skylanders. You make an Imaginator, name it, choose how it looks, decide on its powers and abilities, and then change its catchphrase and theme song. Skylander Sensei figires will be available too, and each one will be tied to one of 10 battle classes. and a It’ll be out October 16.

For a company that seemed like it was going to have a subdued presence, it sure seems like there’s going to be a lot there! I have a feeling Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare could end up surprising us and being better than expected.
