Activision Thinks Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Is a Gold Mine

When a game has only been out for a few days, it isn’t easy to have the exact numbers in terms of how well it has or hasn’t done. Activision is ready to hazard a guess, though. The company has been crunching figures since Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 released on November 6, and it thinks it may have made over $550 million.

That apparent $550 million was made in the first three days Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was on sale. Activision will know the exact numbers for sure later. Still, it’s impressive. Preliminary reports also say that it was the best selling PlayStation 4 digital release thus far, though Activision and Sony haven’t provided exact numbers. Twitch also reports the game was the most streamed of any 2015 game launch.

While it is all very exciting, some exact Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 numbers would have been even better. Especially since Sony and Twitch should have exact figures. Still, this is a Call of Duty game. Something would be wrong if it didn’t make millions.
