It was supposedly filed by Remedy, the series’ developer. To make things even more interesting, someone has called dibs on a http://www.alanwakereturns.com website.
There’s one more part of this that makes the puzzle more interesting. Alan Wake is a writer. Some of his books in-world are called “The Sudden Stop” and “Departure.” In Alan Wake’ s The Writer add-on, he begins work on a novel called “Return,” which would be a sequel to “Departure.” “Return” is also mentioned in Alan Wake’s American Nightmare .
The Xbox One could absolutely use more exclusives. Now that Quantum Break is about to release, maybe Remedy will reveal Alan Wake’s Return as its next game.
