It’s always really hard for people to get excited about a game finally making the crossover from one platform to another. Typically, if someone is looking forward to an upcoming title, they’ll bend over backwards to play it, even if they don’t own the system. So, when Remedy Entertainment announced that Alan Wake was finally coming to the PC, it came with very little fanfare. But if PC gamers are looking for a break from playing World of Warcraft, this psychological thriller might be the perfect distraction. Alan Wake is a survival horror game that follows a writer’s-blocked novelist who spends a fair amount of time shooting people who have been possessed by a “Dark Presence.”
The PC version will also include both of the The Signal and The Writer, Alan Wake’s two DLC packs. So, you can spend even more time away from Azeroth. There’s no word yet on a release date. But PC gamers have been waiting since 2010, so they can probably hold out until sometime in early 2012. By Josh Engen |
