Publisher Electronic Arts has announced Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, the third entry in the co-op-based shooter series, to be published by Visceral Games Montreal. This time out, players will be put in the shoes of Alpha and Bravo, two PMC operatives who must work together in the midst of a ruthless and seedy drug war on the streets of Mexico. EA is promising to “re-set the series” with a “more intense, mature and grittier tone,” which may be a curious choice of words considering the first two Army of Two installments seemed pretty “gritty” in the first place. Both online and split-screen co-op have been confirmed.
