Review

Alternate hair and beard styles

Navigate to the “Gear” tab/menu at the character screen in the pause menu. Then, press L2 + Triangle to change the hair style and press R2 + Triangle to change the beard style. Note: The changes will reset after dying or reloading the game. Additionally, this was not originally intended to be in the final version of the game. It was a dev tool that was left in the game by accident. They decided to leave it in the game after it was discovered since it is harmless.

Secret Isu Armor costume

You can get the Isu Armor at any point in the game after completing the main quests in Siwa (starting region). Successfully complete the following tasks to unlock the Isu Armor costume:

Step 1: Get the 12 Stone Circle collectibles to open a secret room in the Great Sphinx Of Giza.

Step 2: Collect 50 Silica (yellow glowing stones) from tombs. Each tomb has a few of them. There are more than 50 of in the game. The tombs have at least 80 Silica. They have fixed locations. The 50 Silica can then be traded for the Isu Armor inside the Sphinx.

Step 3: In the Great Sphinx of Giza, interact with the large console after finding all 12 Stone Circles. In the hidden room that opens, trade 50 Silica for the Isu Armor. The Sphinx is marked on the map as a tomb called “Eesfet Oon-m’Aa Poo” or as a questiion mark if you have not yet discovered it. It is in the Giza region. After placing 50 Silica in the ancient mechanism at the end of the Sphinx, you will get the outfit.

The Isu Armor is only a cosmetic item and does not affect any of your stats. It does not provide special boosts or abilities, but it is a really nice looking outfit. You also have to do all of this to get the “Old Habits” trophy, which is for completing every location. Note: If you do not have enough Silica, you can return to previously completed Tombs to collect Silica you have missed. You can go back to all tombs.

Legendary weapons

Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding Legendary weapon. Note: Make sure to upgrade your weapons as you level up using the blacksmith so they are the same as your character level. This will maximize the damage output and make fights easier.

Golden Wolf (Normal Sword): Defeat the Outsider Phylakes. It has a max level critical hit rate and Level 2 critical hit damage. You can also restore some health when killing an enemy with it.

Sarissa (Spear): Defeat the Stranger Phylakes. It huge critical hit damage and is great for battling heavily armored enemies.

Smoke and Mirrors (Bow): It is dropped from The Iron Ram Phylakes after killing one. It has Level 3 stealth damage and Level 2 critical hit rate. The range on it is quite good, allowing you to easily attack from a distance. There is also a small chance that attacks from the bow light enemies on fire.

Snakes On A Shield (Shield): Unlocked for pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe edition of the game. It gives you Level 3 adrenaline on parry. The Level 3 damage absorption can be very useful, especially when used with the poison on the block, which means you can continuously deal damage even when you are playing defensively.

The Fang (Sickle Sword): Unlocked for pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe edition of the game. It has max level critical hit damage and poison on hit, which makes it great for one on one combat. You may be able to one hit enemies if you are a level above them.

All Papyrus puzzle solutions and locations

The following video guide shows all 25 Papyrus puzzle solutions and locations in the game. Find and solve them to get legendary gear, money, and XP. Each Papyrus puzzle unlocks at least one random purple or yellow gear piece. They only take 5-10 minutes to do. It is by far the best way to get good gear quickly. The gear automatically scales to your level. The Papyrus puzzles are shown as question marks on the map. When you go near them, it reveals the Papyrus icon. It does not give you an exact location, just a general search area. You can scan by pressing D-pad Up. After locating the Papyrus puzzle, it will be placed in your inventory under “Papyri”. Scroll over the Papyrus to display a cryptic riddle in text form. Based on these text hints, you must find a certain location in the game world to obtain the hidden treasure and complete the Papyrus riddle. You can do all of these at any time after finishing the Siwa main quests (starting area). After this, the entire map is unlocked for free roam. It is also a good way to quickly level up and get money and better gear. Note: There are also “Hieroglyph Papyrus” during certain side quests, but those do not give special rewards and are not included in this guide. The Hieroglyph Papayri are side quest specific and only needed to advance their respective quests.

All Hermit locations

Search the indicated locations to find all five Hermits in the game and get the “Words Of Wisdom” trophy. These also give one ability point each. It is a quick way to gain ability points early in the game. The first chance to do this is after completing the Siwa main quests (starting area). You can still do this after completing the story. The Hermit locations have a rug you can interact with. Scan the area by holding D-pad Up to find the carpet more easily. You must interact with the carpet (press Triangle) to make it count.

Return to the south of Siwa to interact with the first Stone Circle and begin the “Bayek’s Promise” quest. When interacting with a Stone Circle, you must align it with the stars in the sky. Easy XP

Purchase the following three skills to increase the amount of XP you can earn:

Headshot XP: Extra XP when killing an enemy with a headshot.
Assassination XP: Extra XP for assassinations.
Tool Kill XP: Extra XP if you kill someone with a tool.

Complete secondary quests (that are not attached to the overall main narrative storyline) to quickly gain experience. While completing secondary quests, try to defeat as many enemies as possible to gain additional XP. Additionally, when selecting a quest from the menu, you can view how much XP you will get for completing it. This allows you to decide if it is worth completing. Extra side quests can also be found at the Informant Table.

Easy attacks

To make attacking a camp easier, do it at night so more guards are asleep and less of a challenge than during the day.

Using fire arrows

Have any bow equipped and aim it. Then, get close to any fire source (fireplace, brazier, torch) to light the arrow on fire and add fire effects to your next shot. Since a fire source is not always available, you can always use your torch. Throw your torch on the floor, then light the arrow on fire. If you shoot a fire arrow into a red jar or container, it releases an oil that sets the nearby area on fire. Lots of guarded areas have this, as well as all small boats. It is a great way to quickly kill a lot of enemies.

Saving money

Save your money early in the game. Do not waste it buying loot boxes or weapons and gear from vendors. You will eventually come across a lot of gear at the start. Save your money for later in the game. Note: You can scan areas for loot.

Easy “Archer Of The Month” trophy

Purchase the “Elite Ranger” ability, which makes time slow down when aiming a bow in mid-air. Jump down from somewhere, aim in mid-air, and shoot an enemy in the head with an arrow to get the “Archer Of The Month” trophy. The enemy has to die from this. You are allowed to weaken the enemy beforehand so that he dies in one hit. You can do this in any restricted area/enemy camp; those contain lots of enemies. It is recommended to use the light bow since it shoots very quickly and is easy to aim.

Easy “Circle Of Life” trophy

The best place to feed a predator a corpse is at the “Yw Huts” settlement/fast travel point in the east of the Herakleion Nome territory. It is a village in the swamps and there are always crocodiles swimming in the river near the village. Kill an NPC (does not matter if it is a non-hostile NPC or enemy). Lure a crocodile on land (has to be on land, does not work in water) and drop the corpse in front of the crocodile. Then, quickly run away so the crocodile stops chasing after you and eats the corpse. As soon as you are out of combat, the crocodile should eat the corpse and you will get the “Circle Of Life” trophy. It also works to let the crocodiles kill you near the corpse, then they will focus on the corpse in the moments after your death, which still unlocks the trophy. It can be a bit glitchy sometimes and may require a few attempts. The animal AI is not the best, and sometimes they just will not eat the corpse. Note: This only works with crocodiles.

Easy “I Can See My House From Here!” trophy

This can be done in the “Black Desert” territory. It is to the south of Siwa, the area where the game begins. This territory has a few high mountains. Check the map for a question mark on the tallest mountain, and go to that spot. You will get the “I Can See My House From Here!” trophy when approaching the question mark location. You can see the entire map from this spot.

Easy “Overdesign” trophy

This can be done in “Kyrenaika” territory (northwest corner of the map). In the town of Cyrene, there are Level 35+ enemies walking the streets. You can easily find them using eagle Senu. You need the “Poison Darts” skill. Make sure to equip the poison darts in the gear menu afterwards. To activate them, hold D-pad Left and throw them at an enemy (must be Level 35+). You will see some purple fog around the enemy, indicating that he has been poisoned. Then, quickly kill him with the torch (hold D-pad Right to pull out torch). It is recommended to wait until you are Level 35+ to do this since you inflict more damage to the enemy and he dies quicker.

Easy “Overheating” trophy

Run around the desert (for example, “Great Sand Sea” territory) during midday to trigger hallucinations. After running around for a while, you will get random hallucinations. One possible hallucination is the raining bugs (it is a rare one). Just keep walking in the desert until you trigger it to get the “Overheating” trophy. You cannot trigger hallucinations in the morning or evening — it only works from midday to afternoon.

Easy “Roooaaarrrrr!” and “Set-up Date” trophies

This requires the “Animal Taming” and “Sleep Darts” skills. Use a sleep dart on a lion. While the animal is asleep, you can tame it and get the “Roooaaarrrrr!” trophy. Lead the lion to a crocodile to get the “Set-up Date” trophy. You can use your eagle Senu to scan for animals. You cannot tame animals that are a higher level than your own. It only works on animals beneath your level. Lions can be found in the following territories: Sap-Meh Nome, Sapi-Res Nome, Ka-Khem Nome, and Herakleion Nome. Crocodiles are found in rivers all around the map. The earliest opportunity is in Sapi-Meh Nome, where the lions are Level 12-15.

Easy “Seven Farmers” trophy

The “Seven Farmers” side quest in in the “UAB Nome” territory (southeast corner of the map). Make sure you are Level 30 or higher before attempting to complete this quest. It is relatively simple. Talk to the farmers, help them defend their village, steal intel from enemy camp, travel to a tomb marked nearby, and kill the captain inside. You will get the “Seven Farmers” trophy as soon as you kill the enemy captain in the tomb.

Easy “The Arrow Whisperer” trophy

First, get the “Enhanced Predator Bow” skill. Then, hold R2 while aiming the predator bow to shoot a controllable arrow. You can steer the arrow while it flies towards the target. Kill an enemy with this from 60 meters away or further to get “The Arrow Whisperer” trophy. You can set waypoint markers to get an idea of the distance.

Easy “The Harder They Fall” trophy

The two war elephants, Qetesh and Resheph, are found in the “UAB Nome” territory. After synchronizing the only viewpoint in this area, white question marks will appear on the map. The war elephants are at the southern-most question mark of the UAB Nome territory. You can go there anytime. However, since the elephants are Level 40, it is recommended you first complete the story and reach at least Level 38. If you are lower than Level 38, you will not be able to do it. You can set the difficulty to Easy while doing this to make it easier. Defeat both elephants by attacking their legs. After both have been defeated, you will get “The Harder They Fall” trophy.
