Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation Hits Vita This October

Continuing on its quest to keep the struggling PlayStation Vita afloat, Sony has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, a Vita exclusive, will be coming to the handheld on October 30 of this year. Showcased with a gameplay trailer during Sony’s E3 press event, Liberation will put players in the stabby shoes of a female assassin for the first time in series history. Reports say that her name is Aveline, and that her story will take place in 18th Century New Orleans.

Judging by the trailer, the game appears to play just like the Assassin’s Creed gamers have come to know and love, with Aveline running, jumping, slicing throats and kicking ass just as well as any of her male counterparts.

In addition, Sony has announced that it will be releasing an Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation Vita bundle, which will include the game, a 4GB memory card, and the first ever “crystal white” PS Vita (wifi only). The bundle will mirror that of Assassin’s Creed 3, which Sony also announced during their presser. That bundle will include a copy of the next entry in the popular series, some unspecified sort of exclusive DLC, and the PS3 system, which sources say will have a 320 GB hard drive.
