Assassin’s Creed is known for focusing on its historical protagonists like Altaïr or Ezio rather than their modern-day counterpart Desmond. However, Assassin’s Creed III will change all of this. According to Matt Turner, lead writer for the game, AC3 will allow you to experience more of Desmond’s story than ever before. They story will follow him closely and will detail his role in events that will lead up to a horrible world-ending catastrophe which will occur in December 2012 in game time. “It’s a big part of our story and I don’t really want to give too many details away because I want people to experience what that is,” Turner told CVG. “But rest assured, you’re going to see a lot of Desmond. More so than in any past game.”
