Assassin’s Creed IV Confirmed As Next-Gen Launch Title

Assassin’s Creed IV Confirmed As Next-Gen Launch Title

Last week, Ubisoft showed off the next installment of their Assassin’s Creed franchise, but failed to answer the question of whether or not the game would be available at launch. Luckily, Ubisoft game director Ashraf Ismail recently confirmed (via ElderGeek) that they “are launch titles for those platforms.”

The platforms in question are the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U, which will be getting Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag October 29 th . However, this date is currently only applicable to the Wii U, as Microsoft and Sony have yet to give exact launch dates for their next-gen systems beyond November and “the holidays”, respectively. But, seeing as how the game will release before the system, its status as launch title still stands.

Of course, this leaves the PC version sorely absent. But never fear; Ismail had answers for that as well: “We’re working hard on the PC version,” he continued. “It’s one of the main platforms we work on in the office. For our PC fans, don’t worry. The game on PC looks phenomenal.”
