Battlefield 1’s Fall Update Is Here

Battlefield 1’s Fall Update Is Here

Battlefield 1 is less than a month out of the gate, and developer DICE has released a huge free patch they’re calling the Fall Update across all supported platforms (PC, PS4, and Xbox One). Among the changes are large-scale adjustments to the Operations and Conquest modes to aid in overall game balance. In Operations, attackers have lagged behind in their offensive capabilities, so DICE has reduced the amount of time it takes to capture flags and added more tickets for players to use. Conquest, meanwhile, saw its Suez map adjusted with the addition of two new capture points and an armored car for players to deploy when pushed back to HQ.

Tons of other quality-of-life changes and new features made it into the update as well. You can now customize your soldier during a match, rent a server via a new RSP tab in the in-game store, and wrest control from idle squad leaders thanks to new leadership rules. The developers are also adding the ability to buy Battlepacks via the in-game store, but that feature hasn’t launched yet.

The official changelog is massive, so you’ll want to head on over to the game’s official forums for more information. If you haven’t picked up Battlefield 1 yet, check out our review for a full rundown on what the game has to offer.
