Yesterday we learned that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is getting the royal treatment over at DICE and will be rolling out in 2010. Today the official presser was released and we have been given some details surrounding the upcoming, cinematic shooter. Also, it was mentioned the Battlefield 1943 will be available through the PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and on the PC. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will rejoin the characters of ‘B Company’ and will feature the satisfying total destruction mechanic of the original. It will also feature even more impressive vehicle segments, more weapons, and even better online multiplayer. Battlefield 1943 will also use the proprietary Frostbite engine and will provide an online multiplayer experience for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC owners. Set in the Pacific theater during WWII, up to 24 combatants will face off in settings such as Wake Island, Guadalcanal, and Iwo Jima. Players will get to participate “in ruthless aerial dog fights and intense trench combat” when Battlefield 1943 releases this winter.
