BioWare Moving On To “Next Phase” Of Dragon Age

None

According to Mark Darrah, executive producer of Dragon Age II, development on the game is finally complete. No further content will be made. “While we will still be keeping an eye out for any issues that might crop up in DAII and supporting the community should any emergencies should arise,” Darrah said on the official BioWare forums, “we’re moving the entire team’s focus to the next phase of Dragon Age’s future.”

Unfortunately, this means that any upcoming DLC for Dragon Age has been canceled. One canceled project was Exalted March, an upcoming DLC expansion pack. No details have been given on whether this content will be shifted over to whatever BioWare’s next Dragon Age project is.

“This past year, we’ve spent a lot of time both going back to the ‘BioWare vault’ of games and re-examining them, and looking at some new possibilities that today’s industry allows,” Darrah said. He also asked the fans to be as vocal as they could about where they want the franchise to go in the future.

As of now, BioWare has not confirmed the existence of a Dragon Age III, although creative development director Alistair McNally did tweet about a Dragon Age III project last year.

We will bring you more information on BioWare’s new Dragon Age projects as it becomes available.
